Make a Mark Enrichment Grants
Region 10 Make A Mark, Inc. is dedicated to sustaining and extending the excellence of the Region 10 School District by providing a source of funding for expanded educational opportunities for Region 10 students. Grants are provided for creative and innovative instructional practices that will enhance the learning of students as well as support the mission of Make a Mark. Grants may be given to teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, other school personnel or students who propose projects that would not normally be funded by the Region 10 Board of Education budget.

Applying for a Grant
The Region 10 Make A Mark Advisory Committee operates on a rolling grant cycle that runs year-round. Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions:
Who can apply? Grants can be awarded to Region 10 staff and students, but a faculty advisor must be the primary applicant if a student is applying for a grant.
How long does the process take? Usually about a month. Applications that are received by the first of the month September – June will be reviewed monthly. Applications received June 2 – September 1 will be reviewed in September.
How much grant money is available? The total amount of funding available varies but historically Make a Mark has awarded between $3,000 and $5,000 in grants per school year.
What projects do these grants support? These grants are geared toward creative and innovative learning projects that wouldn't normally be funded through the Region 10 Board of Education budget.

The group read and discussed the Nutmeg book "Born to Fly" over an 8-week period during the summer of 2013. The book study ended with a trip to the New England Air Museum. |
